Miata Top Down Drive
Miata Top Down Drive
14 Members met at the 84 Diner for an impromptu top down drive on Sunday November 15th. It was the first day of cooler and sunny weather, and could not have been more perfect for a top down drive. I am so glad our club members are flexible, because the drive I had planned to Alabama Jacks in the Florida Keys would not have worked on this day. No one remembered it was the final day of the year for NACAR racing at the Homestead Racetrack, which would have made our journey to the restaurant impossible to reach unless we drove bumper to bumper in stop and go traffic for hours each way. No problem, switch to plan “B”. I cried for help, and Sue & Art answered my plea. Instead of heading south, Sue knew of a great spot a few hours north in Ft. Pierce. A quaint seafood restaurant with a waterfront view, names Mangrove Marie’s. They have an extensive menu, or a Sunday buffet brunch to choose from, all with reasonable prices. With our appetites satisfied, we took advantage of the scenic surroundings for some great photos. A cool breeze, sunny skies, a light jacket, and sunglasses were all we needed for the perfect top down day. This was the best reason for driving a Miata.
