The South Florida Miata Club Inc. is the club for South Florida Miata Enthusiasts who love to drive their Miatas.
The philosophy of the club is to have fun with good friends while exploring South Florida (and beyond).
Typical activities include day trips, overnight stays, meeting for lunch, and driving somewhere just for the heck of it.
The key is to enjoy being out in your Miata with other Miata lovers, getting sunburned, visiting interesting places, eating great food, and generally having a terrific time.
Our members hail from north of Palm Beach to the Florida Keys and all points in between.
There are several distinguishing features of the South Florida Miata Club. One is that there are no dues .
That's right. No dues. Nada. Zippo. Freebie. Other club's dues are most often used to publish and mail a hardcopy newsletter. Why spend money to receive a newsletter having basically the same information month after month, with the same old tired advertisements?
Use that money for Miata accessories!
The only requirements for our club members are;
*Respond simply with a Yea or Nay to all e-mails requiring an answer.
*Sign your name to e-mails as e-mail addresses do not let us know who you are.
*Have working C.B. radio at all driving events.
The CB Radio is strictly for a safety factor while driving in caravan and this has proven to be a very helpful necessity in nearly every trip, especially for the directionally challenged members.
*Have a Sun-Pass.
*Attend at least 4 monthly meetings a year.
*Join on at least four events a year.
*Respond to all e-mails needing a response in a timely manner.
*Drive responsibly.
Another feature of the South Florida Miata Club is that there are no committees to join. Who needs committees?
Most of us have day jobs for our sources of frustration.
We want to have a good time!
Our credo has been and remains just to have fun with other Miata enthusiasts, to the exclusion of club politics.
Whether you've been a member for two years or two weeks, everyone enjoys equal stature. Our club has no dues, no elected officers, refuses all advertising, endorses no commercial enterprise and accepts no gifts, samples or other 'perks'.
This is just a car club, put together by a group of people who want nothing more than to enjoy their great cars with great friends.
